Owner/
Managing Veterinarian
Dr. Sara Hofer, DVM
Dr. Sara was born and raised in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, and earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2015. After gaining experience in a busy mixed practice in the Fort Worth area—caring for dogs, cats, exotic pets, and wildlife rehabilitation patients—she returned home to join South Central Veterinary Clinic alongside her father, Dr. Schonewill.
In 2021, Dr. Sara proudly continued her family's legacy by taking over ownership of the practice following her father's retirement. She has a special love for cats, especially sweet, fluffy ones, and enjoys helping pets and their families live happy, healthy lives. Outside the clinic, she enjoys reading, volleyball, puzzles, embroidery, and spending time with her husband, Luke, their two children, and their four Star Wars–named pets.

Outside the clinic, Kyndi enjoys spending time with her Corgi, Daisy, and her black cat, MJ. She also loves traveling, attending concerts, and making memories with friends, family, and her pets.
