Licensed Veterinary Technician

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to veterinarians in delivering high-quality care to animals. Your expertise in animal care and veterinary practices will be crucial in ensuring the health and well-being of our patients. Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians during examinations and surgical procedures.

• Perform routine laboratory tests and analyze samples.

• Administer medications, vaccinations, and treatments as prescribed.

• Monitor animal patients' vital signs and overall health.

• Maintain accurate medical records and documentation.

• Provide education and support to pet owners regarding animal care.

• Ensure a clean and safe environment by following aseptic techniques.

• Restrain animals safely during examinations and procedures.

• Assist in animal catheterization when necessary.
   

Skills
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills:

• Proficient knowledge of veterinary terminology and animal anatomy.

• Experience in veterinary critical care is a plus.

• Strong understanding of animal physiology and care practices.

• Ability to apply aseptic techniques effectively.

• Skilled in animal restraint methods to ensure safety for both staff and animals.

• Familiarity with pet care best practices and emergency response protocols.

• 8 hour shift

• Day shift

• Monday to Friday

• Rotating weekends

Work Location: In person

Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
